Invoice-to-ledger sync, so your books match what actually happened

Queue sales vouchers in Opsetu, and a small agent you run on your own machine pushes them straight into your TallyPrime — no manual re-entry, no CSV exports, no separate data-entry pass at month-end.

Illustrative — real vouchers sync from your own queue
How it actually works

A local agent, because Tally lives on your machine — not the cloud

TallyPrime runs on your own computer, not a server Opsetu can reach directly. So instead of a cloud connection, you run a small script locally that pulls queued vouchers from Opsetu and pushes them into your own Tally over its own XML interface — the same interface Tally itself is built to be automated with.

Queue Sales vouchers

Party, amount, line items and HSN codes — queued in Opsetu, ready for your agent to pick up.

A small local agent, not a cloud link

Runs on your machine, talks to your Tally directly — nothing in between holds your accounting data.

Your own agent token

Shown to you once, stored as a hash — not as plain text — on our side. Rotate it any time and the old one stops working immediately.

Every attempt tracked

Pending, synced or failed, with Tally's own error message when something doesn't go through — not a silent retry loop.

One direction, on purpose

Vouchers go into Tally; nothing is read back out or changed in Tally by this. Your Tally stays the source of truth for your books.

Not in scope yet

Bank/GST reconciliation against marketplace deductions is a separate concern — see the Returns & RTO module for that. Purchase vouchers and automatic scheduling from Opsetu's side aren't built yet either.

How it works

Four steps from queuing a voucher to it landing in Tally

1

Get your agent token

Create a connection, name your Tally company exactly as it appears there, and copy your one-time agent token.

2

Set up the agent

Download the small PHP script, paste in your token, and enable Tally's XML gateway on port 9000.

3

Queue vouchers

Add them from Opsetu — one at a time to start, or in bulk once you're comfortable with the flow.

4

Run the agent

By hand or on a schedule — every run picks up whatever's pending and reports back what synced and what didn't.

Questions

Before you connect your real Tally company

No — Tally runs on your own machine, which Opsetu's servers can't reach. The agent script runs locally and is the only thing that ever talks to your Tally installation.

It creates Sales Invoice vouchers via Tally's own XML import interface — the standard way Tally is automated. It doesn't read anything else out of Tally or modify anything besides creating the vouchers you've queued.

Only when the agent runs — by hand, or on a schedule you set up yourself (Windows Task Scheduler works well). Opsetu doesn't push anything on its own.
